Description
The Paper Restoration and Conservation course aims to show the different skills, tools and materials involved in the processes of paper restoration and conservation. Given by a specialist with more than 20 years of experience in the field, this course ranges from the essential theoretical elements for understanding the processes, to the demonstrative level of some of the most common actions carried out in a paper restoration and conservation laboratory.
This course has been developed in the framework of the UNESCO Transcultura Programme and funded by the European Union.

MSc. Anyxa Quesada Portal
Bachelor's degree in Information Science and Master's degree in Cultural Heritage Management. She heads the Paper Conservation and Restoration Workshop (Santa Clara College) at the Office of the Historian of the City, Cuba. She has more than 20 years of experience in this field.

About the Programme
This Programme seeks to deepen integration between Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union, and harness diversity to build bridges of understanding between people and cultures of different linguistic areas. To this end, it is based on strengthening the capacities of young culture professionals and creating opportunities through knowledge sharing and exchange. The Programme is funded by the European Union.
