Descripción
The course Introduction to Handcrafted Animation is aimed at young people interested in audiovisual creation. The main objective of this motivating course is to introduce them to the world of handcrafted animation through techniques such as stop motion, its expressive essence and production principles. Consequently, it approaches animation with paper cutouts, three-dimensional puppets, object animation and pixilation using a practical approach.
This course has been created in the framework of the UNESCO Transcultura Programme and funded by the European Union.

MSc. Ivette Ávila Martín
Animation Professor at the School of Arts of the Audiovisual Communication Media (FAMCA), University of the Arts (ISA). Works at Cucurucho Productions. Collaborates with the Animation Studios of the Cuban Institute of Cinema Art and Industry (ICAIC), and the Cuban Radio and Television Institute (ICRT).

About the Programme
This Programme seeks to deepen integration between Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union, and harness diversity to build bridges of understanding between people and cultures of different linguistic areas. To this end, it is based on strengthening the capacities of young culture professionals and creating opportunities through knowledge sharing and exchange. The Programme is funded by the European Union.
